Ladders 4 Years, 6 Months ago
As suggested in TheMinituresPage site, Barricades need now a sort of stairs to go up and down. There is a more than one way to satisfy this need:

a) a rung ladder to be glued against walls;

b) a real scaled stairs. This is a good looking way, but takes time to build it and only a piece of art because miniatures cannot use it!

c) a bunch of big steps, where miniatures can stand. This way is not so good looking. You can simulate the moving up and down but takes a lot of precious space.

d) a slope with drawn steps. Have you ever seen a pending miniatures? Ugly.

I think that, given the little room available inside the Bunker, I can proceed with the a) option.

Opinions?

The (a) option has been started and some sketches already drawn to see the final impact.

Even if a simple, fast and easy to built ladder is good from player point of view, I am now more inclined to give a better good looking the the ladder's structure. Nevertheless it should remain fun to built also by a gamer. I think to have found a compromise with this system:

It is a boxed ladder with separated parts, so that you can cut the height at the desired size and put the steps with variable distance one each other. Soon a test.

Wow! The ladder is completed in so few time if compared to my regular pace!

Just a test built and then it will be available as a near-free Add-On!

Indeed the ladder is too little for an easy 3d built. Fast a new release in 2.5d for a prompt game!

Hi!

I am new to this site, so maybe there is just something I am overlooking...

I purchased the three ULTIMATUM sets today and also downloaded the ladder instruction pdf.
Now my question: Is this ladder avaiable somewhere or is it a future release?

Thanks,
Zephalo

Hi Zephalo,

first of all, thank you for giving your support with your purchases.

You are looking for right: the Metal ladder is available and it is a free Add-On to Barricades Basic Set and Platforms Set.

Free Add-Ons are released after the main model they refer to and they are available into Download Section of this site. To have the access granted I need to include your Membership to a special Group and I have actually to do it manually at this stage. Generally this operation requires me to check the system and see the new sales (this happens several times a day but for nightly purchases the day after).

I sent you an email to confirm this. Now you can access to the restricted section and download the Ladder.

Surely I need to make this procedure automatic or to include directly the Free Add-Ons on each main models.

Thank you again, Claudio:)
